Välkommen!

Here at Orrevik in 2012 we are focusing on creating wild culture that serves biological and societal health and well-being.

By tending the wild, we create a rich environment where all beings have a gift to bring, a role to play and a place to be. Out of that grows a thriving community deeply rooted in place.

We’re comitted to engaging playfully with wilderness for the sake of our grandchildren who will inherit this place. Here they will find enough flowers for the bees, enough mixed woodland for the hare and deer, enough shelter for the moor hen and other rare birds, enough dead wood for insects and fungi, good food for the lynx and fox, and enough year-round resources to sustain their families.

On the farm, we are creating a healing, ecological wildlife haven where ever more life can find food, shelter and water, all the way to the walls of our home.

We combine prolonged observation and deep nature connection with the introduction of native plants, new habitats, composts, rich soils, water storage, raised beds, rare trees, threatened species and other ways of welcoming abundance into the neighborhood.

Over the next year, we’re offering continuous practical learning at our center, that is not so much a school as it is a hub of culture and healing. Partipants here have the opportunity to participate in sessions on yoga, animal tracking, improv theater, peacemaking and more.

If you’re moved by this and want to join in creating culture with deep roots in nature, let us know. If you have conservation, permaculture or gardening skills to share and want to contribute to the farm work, see what we’re planning and get in touch for an application.

We also offer the possibility of being here over longer periods as part of a learning community. If that inspires you, let us know or find out how to participate as a WWOOFer.

Warm greetings,

Miki and Cecilia
